Enhance your images with adjustable filters and one-click presets. Compare the original and filtered versions side by side with an interactive slider.
Image Filter & Effects lets you adjust a single photo or screenshot with eight sliders, then export a new PNG, JPEG, or WebP file. It accepts PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, and AVIF sources up to 25 MB, 60 megapixels, and 16,384 pixels per side, and it checks the file's real signature rather than trusting the extension. The live preview updates as you drag sliders without re-encoding anything; the actual output file is only built when you click Create filtered image. After creation, the preview switches to a before/after view with a draggable divider you can also move with the arrow keys, and the status line reports the output format, dimensions, and byte size once the file has been checked.

How to use Image Filter
Drop an image onto Choose an image or pick one from disk. Under Presets, click Grayscale, Sepia, Warm, Cool, Vintage, or High contrast to apply a starting look, then fine-tune in the Adjustments panel: Brightness, Contrast, and Saturation run 0 to 200 percent, Hue rotates 0 to 360 degrees, Blur goes up to 20 pixels in half-pixel steps, and Grayscale, Sepia, and Invert run 0 to 100 percent. The reset button returns every slider to its default. Choose PNG, JPEG, or WebP under Output format; for JPEG and WebP a Quality slider from 40 to 100 percent appears, and JPEG also exposes a background color picker used to fill any transparent areas. Set an Output file name, click Create filtered image, compare the result with the divider, then click Download.

- A designer converting a transparent PNG logo to a flat JPEG with a chosen background color for an email template.

- A developer checking how a UI mockup reads in grayscale before deciding whether color alone carries meaning.
Practical tips
- Changing the output format or quality after creating a file discards the result, so settle those settings before clicking Create filtered image.
- PNG output is lossless and ignores the Quality slider; pick JPEG or WebP when file size matters more than exact pixels.
- Animated GIF and AVIF sources are flattened to the frame the browser decoded, so this is not a tool for animated output.
- Export strips metadata and embedded color profiles. Keep the original if you need EXIF data or a specific ICC profile later.
- Presets are just slider combinations. If the result reads as the active preset, nudging any slider deselects it, which is expected.

Small brightness and contrast changes preserve UI detail; large ones start to wash out borders and icons.

Pick the background color to match the destination page or email so the logo does not appear to sit in a box.
Validation checklist
- Drag the before/after divider across text and edges to check for unwanted blur or halos.
- Confirm the status line reports the format and dimensions you expected before downloading.
- For JPEG output, check that the chosen background color is right where transparency used to be.
- Keep the original file, since metadata and color profiles are not carried into the export.
- Review the result on the actual background where it will appear, not only on the preview.
