Crop any image to the exact region you need with interactive selection, fixed aspect ratios, and precise pixel coordinates — all processed in your browser.
Image Cropper lets you cut a rectangle out of a photo, screenshot, or graphic and save just that region as a new PNG, JPEG, or WebP file. It opens PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, and AVIF sources up to 25 MB, 60 megapixels, and 16,384 px on a side. The workspace shows the image with a draggable, resizable selection and a rule-of-thirds overlay, while numeric fields report the exact X, Y, width, and height so you can hit a precise pixel target rather than eyeballing it. Aspect presets for Square, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, and 9:16 place a centered region at that ratio instantly. After you create the crop, the tool decodes the result and shows its true dimensions, byte size, and MIME type in the Verified crop panel.

How to use Image Cropper
Choose an image or drag one onto the drop zone. A selection appears over the picture; drag its body to move it or pull the handles to resize. To lock a ratio, press one of the preset buttons: Free, Square, Landscape 4:3, Photo 3:2, Widescreen 16:9, or Portrait 9:16. Use Center selection to recenter the current box, or Reset selection to return to the default region. For exact numbers, type into the X position, Y position, Width, and Height fields; each field is clamped so the box cannot leave the image. Pick PNG, JPEG, or WebP, set the Quality slider for the lossy formats, name the file, and press Create cropped image. The result panel shows the output size, then use the Download button.

Practical tips
- Type the Width and Height first, then adjust X and Y; the fields clamp to the image bounds, so setting position before size can shrink the box unexpectedly.
- Use PNG for screenshots, diagrams, and anything with transparency. JPEG fills transparent areas with white and softens crisp edges.
- WebP at 80 to 90% quality is usually much smaller than JPEG at the same visual quality, but check that your destination accepts WebP.
- The crop is taken from the full-resolution source, not the on-screen preview, so a small selection on a large photo still yields sharp pixels.
- Canvas export drops EXIF, GPS, and ICC data. That is convenient for privacy but means wide-gamut photos may look slightly different afterwards.

A lossless 1280 x 720 PNG containing only the specified region.
PNG output reports Lossless and disables the quality slider, so the pixels are copied without compression artifacts.
Validation checklist
- Confirm the X, Y, Width, and Height values match the region you intended.
- Check the result panel's dimensions and byte size before downloading.
- Open the downloaded file at 100% zoom to inspect edges and text.
- Choose PNG if the source had transparency you need to keep.
- Keep the original image; the export has no metadata or color profile.
