Days between two dates
The main result is the number of days between two dates, reported with its direction so you can tell whether the end date comes before or after the start. By default the start date is included and the end date is excluded, which matches how elapsed days, invoices, and rental periods are usually counted. Turn on inclusive counting when both boundary dates should count, for example when a stay checks in on the first day and checks out on the last.
- Same-date ranges report zero days by default and one date when inclusive counting is on.
- The years-months-days breakdown clamps month anniversaries, so January 31 to March 1 reads as one month and one day.
Weekdays between two dates
The weekday total counts Monday through Friday inside the same range and reports Saturday and Sunday separately, so a two-week window shows 10 weekdays and 4 weekend days. Public holidays are not excluded because they differ by country and employer; subtract them from the weekday total, or use the Business Days Calculator when a holiday calendar must be applied.
